About Ms. Becca & Credentials

I received my Masters in Art (Art Education and Museum Art Studies) from San Diego State University in 2016, and prior to that, my Bachelor’s in Art (emphasis in Photography and Painting) in 2012. I have over 10 years experience as a wedding and family photographer, as well as over 15 years graphic design and illustration experience. After starting our family in 2017, it was important to instill a love for art into our children, and give them open ended opportunities to create and paint and make and explore with many different art mediums! My first children’s book titled Paper Doll Play was published with Paper Peony Press in summer 2024, and I spend my free time creating art for my print shop June & Joy (find it on Etsy and Instagram).

My goal for Wild Sprout is to plant a seed that will grow into a love and passion for expression and creativity through various forms of artistic mediums such as pastels and charcoals, up-cycled sculptures, water color and acrylic paints, and more. Art is a wonderful way to introduce self and communal awareness, teach patience, delayed gratification, self-expression, problem solving skills, celebrates playful imagination by weaving dreams and storytelling together, and compliments core subjects such as math, ELA, and science! Students will use the skills and knowledge taught in class to create multiple still life, process art, and nature-based artworks through individual and group projects over the course of the school year.

Frequent Questions

Is the class drop-off based?
Yes. There is a lot to do in the area for coffee shops, restaurants, parks, the Murrieta library, and local shopping if parents want to stay close during class time. I do not have the space to accommodate parents to stay with their child in class.
What supplies does my child need for the class?
All students will utilize high quality, age appropriate art materials and a paint apron to be worn over their clothes. All art materials will be provided and kept in class. Middle School class will also have a sketchbook to take home with creative prompts each week.
What should my child wear?
Please send children in clothes/shoes to create and make messes in! We will be working with various mediums that may not be able to be washed off clothing well. Older jeans, a t-shirt, or any other attire they are fine to get paint on is acceptable. Many of the projects we create use mediums that can stain clothing or are difficult to wash off.
Is the class inside or outside?
Art classes take place inside a garage studio space. Class is held rain or shine!
Where is the class held?
Class takes place at a private residence in a gated community located in old town Murrieta, CA. Parking and address information will be provided upon registration.
What if my child has to miss a class?
If a student has to miss a class, there will be no make up class time or refund offered. Due to the nature of the class, class materials and supplies cannot be given out to make up the art project.
How do I find more information, or enroll my child?

Please send an email to wildsproutartstudio@gmail.com with your preferred class plus your child’s name and age to be added to the roster! Class must be paid in full for the day/month you want to enroll before your child can attend. If the class is full, you will be notified and put on a waitlist. If the class has an opening, families will be notified in order of when they submitted an interest/enrollment form to secure their child’s spot. Please note that at this time, I cannot accommodate students with IEP, Special Needs, or behavior tendencies that would require an aid.
